| How it all began: | | 1967 Eugene and Fred Cummings purchased the Honda dealership on 19th street in downtown Bakersfield. The dealership was a hit and quickly outgrew the 19th street location. |
 Eugene and Fred subsequently moved the dealership to a much larger location on the corner of 26th street and Chester Avenue (pictured above). The Honda Center, as it was known in those days, continued to grow and in 1993 Suzuki and Sea-Doo were added to the product lineup. |
 In 1997 the dealership, once again experiencing growing pains, was moved to its current location at the corner of Chester Avenue and 22nd street. The Honda Center was then renamed Fred Cummings Motorsports to accommodate the company's expanding brand lineup which grew to include Honda, Suzuki, Sea-doo, Can-Am (Bombardier), Vespa, Piaggio, and SDG. |

| Fred Cummings Motorsports is home to over 30 employees with a combined experience of more than 275 years! We have several employees with over 10 years of service, and a few more with over 20 years of service in the Fred Cummings Motorsports family. We are very proud to have provided thousands of Kern County Customers and friends with years of family fun. Fred Cummings Motorsports is also happy to be able to give back to the community, and we are proud sponsers of many local and national charities including: The Bakersfield Homeless Center, The American Cancer Society, Kern County Museum Foundation, The American Heart Association, The American Red Cross, Alpha Canine Santuary, and The March of Dimes.
In 2007 we will be celebrating our 40th year of business. We are very proud and excited to reach this milestone, and we are looking forward to the next 40 years as a family business. Thank you for your continued loyalty, patronage, and support!! |
